Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has released a new single, Tatata, as a lead-up to his much-anticipated eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness.
The track blends Brazilian upbeat funk with Nigerian pidgin English and a pop-rap flow, showcasing Burna Boy’s signature fusion of global and African sounds.
In Tatata, the music star makes a bold reference to Equatorial Guinea’s controversial public figure Baltasar Engonga, who gained international attention for a scandal involving a large cache of sex tapes with multiple women.
No Sign of Weakness is set to continue Burna Boy’s streak of pushing boundaries with both sound and subject matter.
