Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy is set to take centre stage in Paris as the headline performer for the halftime show of the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in France.
The Grammy-winning singer will perform on October 25, 2026, at the iconic Stade de France, where the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the New Orleans Saints.
The announcement marks another major international milestone for Burna Boy, who made history in April 2025 as the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France.
Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy said returning to the stadium for such a major event means a lot to him, adding that he intends to represent African music and deliver a performance the audience will not forget.
The Paris show is part of the NFL’s expanded 2026 International Games, which will feature seven halftime performances across different countries and four continents.
Burna Boy’s upcoming performance further places Nigerian music and Afrobeats at the centre of major global sporting events, with fellow Nigerian star Ayra Starr also set to headline the halftime show at the NFL’s London Game in October.
