US rap superstar Cardi B has welcomed her fourth child, and her first with American footballer Stefon Diggs. The Grammy-winning artist shared the happy news on Instagram, writing:
“I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else.”
The baby boy arrives just weeks after Cardi B dropped her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, and issued a playful plea for fans to support it so she could “afford nappies.”
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, shares three children with her estranged husband Offset. She filed for divorce from the Migos rapper in July 2024. While she has not shared specific details about the birth, her spokesperson confirmed to People magazine that both mother and baby are “healthy and happy.”
Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots wide receiver and Cardi B’s partner of about a year, had revealed the child’s sex earlier this month at a red-carpet event:
“It’s a boy. That’s enough for me. I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around,” Diggs said.
This is Diggs’ second child; he has a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Cardi B, 33, has hinted that this new chapter in her life marks a fresh start after her public split from Offset. Sharing a clip from her single Hello on Instagram, she reflected on self-growth and family:
“This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It’s me against all odds, me against everything meant to get in my way. I’ve learned, I’ve healed, and I’m loving the woman I’ve become!”
The rapper also revealed that she’s preparing for a tour aligned with her new album, promising fans “the performance of a lifetime” while embracing motherhood and her personal transformation.
With her new baby boy and a renewed focus on music and self-improvement, Cardi B appears ready to step boldly into this next era of her life — stronger, happier, and more inspired than ever.
