American comedian and actor Chris Rock has opened up about his mental health journey, revealing that he has been undergoing therapy since the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to other media outfit , Rock made the revelation in a recent interview with The New York Times, where he said much of his therapy has focused on dealing with insecurity and learning to feel that he is “enough.”
The 61-year-old comedian admitted that he sometimes compares himself with highly productive people, including Adam Sandler and Rick Rubin, which can trigger feelings of insecurity.
Rock had previously spoken publicly about increasing his therapy sessions during the pandemic, saying the experience helped him confront personal issues and become more self-aware.
His latest comments highlight a different side of the comedian, showing that even with decades of success, he continues to work on his mental and emotional wellbeing.
