Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets final Group B game against Togo at the WAFU B U-17 Championship has been postponed to later this morning.
The postponement from 5pm yesterday was as a result of the unplayable state of the University Stadium pitch caused by a heavy rain.
According to the team’s media officer, Francis Achi, the game will still be played at the same ground, but will kick-off at 9am Nigeria time.
The other Group B game between Burkina Faso and Niger has also been postponed for same reason.
The Golden Eaglets need a point from the game against Togo to seal their passage into semi-final. They occupy second position with same number of points with Burkina Faso top the group but with an inferior goal difference.
