Afrobeats star Nasboi has debunked reports that he signed with CREAM Platform, a company owned by Nigerian music icon D’banj.
In a press release shared on his social media, Nasboi clarified that his involvement with CREAM is as a brand ambassador, while his music remains under Eminent Music and ONErpm.
“Our attention has been drawn to a publication circulating on social and print media, which may have been widely misconstrued that our Artist the Afrobeats star Nasboi has been signed by the CREAM Platform,” Eminent Music stated. “Eminent Music would like to state emphatically that this news is inaccurate. Nasboi has remained signed to the label since February 2023, and his landmark musical journey is solely distributed by the global reputable company ONErpm.”
The label also emphasized Nasboi’s status as a multifaceted entertainer, noting that his work as a content creator and influencer often involves collaborations with different brands.
“The nature of his job as a content creator/influencer often requires him to work with different platforms… However, as far as his fast-evolving and successful musical career is concerned, Nasboi is currently contractually signed to Eminent Music and ONErpm.”
Eminent Music reaffirmed its commitment to Nasboi’s career, highlighting his hit EP INIT, his sold-out concert in December 2024, and his Headies Next Rated nomination.
Nasboi, who gained prominence under Eminent Music, has enjoyed success with viral hits like Umbrella featuring Wande Coal and Could This Be Love featuring Chike. His Next Rated nomination at the 17th Headies puts him in competition with OdumoduBlvck, Shallipopi, and Ayo Maff.
