Port Harcourt born music artist and femcee, Majesty Lyn (born Charleslyn Rosebeth Charles) have released her new body of work tagged ”Situationship”.
Majesty Lyn’s Situationship EP is a bold, introspective, and sonically diverse project that cements her status as a rising star in Nigeria’s music scene. Described by fans on X as “clean, smooth, and hard” and “one of the best EPs” of the year, this project showcases Lyn’s ability to weave personal narratives with universal themes, particularly from a female perspective.

The Six-Track EP builds on her signature Afro-fusion style, blending Afrobeats, R&B, and rap with a playful yet poignant energy that resonates with listeners navigating the complexities of modern relationships

Lyn’s musical journey began at age 12 with poetry and rap, culminating in her winning a rap battle at Rivers State University in 2016. She gained significant attention in 2018 with a viral cover of 2Face and Peruzzi’s “Amaka,” which showcased her smooth, soulful voice and lyrical dexterity. Her discography includes her debut single “Johnny Bravo” (2019), “Another Valentine” (2019), and her first EP, Four Twenty (2020). Her sophomore EP, Things On Things (2022), a five-track project blending reggae, R&B, alté, and Afrobeats, explored themes of love, toxic relationships, and female empowerment. Influenced by artists like Simi, Billie Eilish, SZA, and Burna Boy, Lyn has carved a niche in the Afro-fusion and Afro-progressive space, known for her genre-defying sound and heartfelt lyricism.
