Ace music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has joined the growing national outcry over rising insecurity, urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to demand stronger results from Nigeria’s security chiefs.

The music icon made the statement on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after President Tinubu announced the postponement of his scheduled diplomatic visits to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola.

The president’s decision to shelve the trips came in the wake of fresh terror-related attacks, including the killing of Brigadier General Musa Uba in Borno, the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi, and the fatal shooting of worshippers at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State.

Tinubu had vowed earlier that those who threaten the safety of Nigerians would “face the full weight of the Nigerian state.”

Reacting to the statement, Don Jazzy amplified the call for swift, decisive action, stressing that Nigerians cannot continue living under the shadow of terror.

In his words:
“The perpetrators deserve no mercy. There is an urgent need for our armed forces to eliminate every single one of these terrorists.”

Expressing frustration at the persistent security lapses, he questioned the disappearance of credible intelligence:
“It wasn’t always like this. Terrorism cannot be a part of our normal lives. Where are they appearing from and disappearing to? Where is the intelligence?”

The producer then delivered a direct appeal to the president:
“Mr. President, please demand more accountability from your security chiefs. This needs to end now, Sir.”

Don Jazzy’s comments add to the mounting pressure on the federal government as Nigerians continue to demand concrete action and visible results in the fight against terrorism.
