South Korean actor Song Jae-Rim, renowned for his role in the K-drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, was found dead at his Seoul apartment on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 39. Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station confirmed the incident, noting, “Currently, there is no evidence of foul play.”

A two-page letter was reportedly discovered at the scene, as reported by Korean media outlet Soompi. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Song Jae-Rim, who debuted in 2009 with Actresses, gained fame for his portrayal of a loyal bodyguard in The Moon Embracing the Sun and continued to appear in various K-dramas and films, including this year’s Queen Woo. He also had two upcoming projects titled I’ll Become Rich and Death Business.
