Canadian rapper Tory Lanez is recovering after being stabbed 14 times by another inmate in prison, according to a statement from his team. The attack left him in critical condition, with multiple stab wounds including seven to his back and two to the back of his head. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing machine.

TMZ reports that prison staff quickly responded and provided first aid before Lanez was rushed to a hospital outside the facility. He is now breathing on his own, speaking normally, and reportedly in good spirits.

Lanez expressed gratitude for fans’ prayers and support. The motive for the attack remains unknown, and prison authorities have yet to release further information about the assailant.
