Grammy-winning Nigerian music star, Wizkid, has revealed that he once spent between $300 and $400 every day just to enjoy Nigerian meals while living in Los Angeles, California.

The “Essence” crooner made the revelation during an interview with Capital XTRA, explaining that despite living abroad for nearly two years, he could not adjust to foreign cuisine because of his love for Nigerian food. According to the singer, he hired a cook to prepare local dishes daily, a decision that significantly increased his food expenses.

Wizkid disclosed that his daily food bill ranged from $300 to $400, adding that authentic Nigerian meals were non-negotiable regardless of where he found himself in the world.

The revelation has resurfaced online, sparking conversations among fans about the high cost of maintaining familiar tastes while living overseas. Many social media users praised the singer’s unwavering love for Nigerian cuisine, while others expressed surprise at the amount he spent daily.
