Atiku: Monguno’s Comments Vindicate Opposition on Nigeria’s Security Crisis
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said recent remarks by former National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno have vindicated the opposition’s long-standing concerns over the factors fueling insecurity in Nigeria.
According to reports by Punch Newspapers, Vanguard, and TheCable, Atiku argued that Monguno’s comments reinforce claims that the country’s security challenges stem from deep-rooted governance and institutional failures rather than a lack of public awareness.
The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate called on the Federal Government to take decisive steps to address the underlying causes of insecurity, insisting that Nigerians deserve lasting solutions instead of political rhetoric.
Atiku maintained that tackling insecurity requires transparency, accountability, and a comprehensive strategy to restore public confidence and protect lives and property across the country.
